It is not only about
how long you live.
It is how long you keep moving well.
The movement side of healthspan.
MobilitySpan is the number of years you can move through life with enough freedom, capability and choice to keep doing the things that matter to you.
Living longer is only part of the story.
We already talk about lifespan and healthspan. MobilitySpan adds another useful lens: how long your body continues to let you participate fully in your own life.
Lifespan
How long you live.
Healthspan
How long you stay well.
MobilitySpan
How long you keep moving well.
More years matter. More years with movement matter even more.
Movement keeps life open.
MobilitySpan is about preserving the ability to participate, make choices and keep doing more of life on your own terms.
Capability
Being able to meet the physical demands of everyday life.
Independence
Maintaining the ability to move through life on your own terms.
Choice
Keeping more options available instead of allowing movement limitations to make decisions for you.
Possibility
Staying able to say yes to more of the things that make life yours.
It is not a number.
It is your life.
MobilitySpan shows up in ordinary moments long before anyone thinks of them as measures of movement.
Walking further. Travelling. Getting up and down easily. Keeping up with family. Gardening. Hiking. Returning to something you love. Continuing to say yes.
What matters is not how movement looks. It is what movement keeps allowing you to do.
Movement tells part of the story. Biology tells another.
MobilitySpan grew from the thinking behind My Mobility Code, where movement and biology are considered together rather than as completely separate parts of how we age and function.
It brings together two different lenses on the same bigger question: how do we keep moving well for longer?
